We have had some severe weather in the upstate today beginning in the early hours and still continuing to rain heavy at times. There have been several tornado’s touch down in Clemson at Clemson University and in Anderson. As the warning sirens go off people scramble to find somewhere safe to stay. There were also tornado’s spotted in and around Union county and Spartanburg. As the severe weather seems to continue many people will not sleep sound tonight in fear of problems throughout the night.
Due to the high amounts of rain parts of Lake Lure has seen mud slides which are very common when you get too much rain falling to fast on an already extremely dry land. Several business’s and road’s are having to be cleaned up at this hour with hopes of being back up and running soon as possible.
