So Many In Fear Of Economy
With the state of the economy being what it is today, many people find themselves consumed with the uncertainty of the future. I have heard time and again today how worried people are about this whole bailout situation. One woman today said “I am angry to know that some members of our Government sat back and did nothing to prevent this when they were told many times over the last year to watch out. Why should we have to pay for the mistakes of greedy Corporations and Officials that may have been taking kick backs.” This same message is the same all around town.
I started this Blog to give readers insight in to South Carolina everyday life and have since seen real problems within our own local Government while doing research. So now I am lead in a slightly different direction. I will still be giving local information, but I will also be highlighting Bill’s that are up and coming to be voted on in the South Carolina Government, in hopes that more people will start writing their local officials and telling them changes need to be made starting right here in the local area’s.
So far I have been studying over some things Mark Sanford has been doing while in office and have found many things that are positive. A few I am still reading up on and unsure of, but for the most part a better job than I even thought he would do.
Today In History
This day in 1927 is the day that Babe Ruth hit his 60th home run in Yankee Stadium in NYC.
Also on this day in 1861 William Wrigley Jr. is born. He became the owner of the Wrigley’s Chewing Gum empire and Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Local Gas Prices
You will find the local gas price in the Upstate South Carolina is $3.76 with the cheapest gas being found at Citgo on Airport Rd. in Spartanburg for $3.54 a gallon.
