Know the facts about how, who and what you will be voting on

Published by Robin Green at 1:29 pm under Government, Local Events, Local News Edit This

Counting today we have 9 more days until election day. So what exactly does this mean? It means that time is running out for us to research each candidate and make our choice.

With all the things on the ballot this year, I encourage everyone to go to www.scvotes.org. You can check your voter registration or find out how to use the voting machine in general. Checking your voter registration is a good way to make sure there are going to be no problems come election day. If you do find problems you can resolve them before Nov. 4 to ensure that your vote counts.

According to scvotes.org you will also be voting on 3 Constitutional Amendments in this election. Find out just what they are and what they are for before you vote.

Thanks to Amy for calling this part to my attention. You only need your voter registration card, drivers license or DMV issued ID. One of these 3 will be fine.

Check the facts about issues and candidates on factcheck.org. This resource has been found to be very beneficial to cut through the bull and get to the facts.

For more answers to your questions go to www.scvotes.org. Remember every vote counts in the state of South Carolina and everywhere else in this great nation of ours.

If you have any problems voting here in SC, please feel free to leave me a comment or email me with what happened to you. We want to keep them honest and every problems deserves to be heard.

I want to correct something from your posting:
You do not need your social security card when you go to vote. You only need ONE of 3 things: Voter Registration Card, Drivers License OR a DMV issued ID card.

You are very right Amy. My mistake and I am off to change it. Thanks for letting me know. Lord knows I make mistakes all the time. I will do my best to get it right the first time on my future post’s.
