This morning as I watched ABC News, they listed some up and coming sites online that they think will be huge. Well since I am always online, I thought “what the heck I should just check these out.”

The first one I took a look at is Funny or Die. This is a video library with video’s taken from all different sources including You Tube. The first page I came to had several adult topics, which to say the least I was not pleased with. Now don’t get me wrong, they had some pretty funny stuff on there. It just appears that some of it is not for children’s eyes. So for me, I will stick with Funny Junk.

How Stuff Works was another website they think will be big. I have to say that this one I really like. You can find just about anything you want to know about on this one. If they do not have it listed, just ask for it.

Yapta claims to help you save tons of money on airline flights. I have not booked a flight through them yet, but you can see for yourself if they really deliver.

Another video site is Truveo. Now this one I really like. They pull videos from all over the web and put it in one place to make it easier for you to view just what you are looking for. This website has so many channel’s, you will never get bored.

Has anyone else been watching the last news on the terrible events on Black Friday. Since when did we become a nation of killing shoppers to get a better place in line? Or shooting people over toys?

This first story is horrific to even think about. A Wal-Mart employee was trampled to death when he opened the doors for shoppers this morning at 5am. Four more were injured including a pregnant woman. See the whole story at CNN.

Two people were shoot and killed in Toys-R-Us. Authorities are not exactly sure yet what happened. Several people have been arrested. This is a developing story at this hour. Read more at CNN.

Have we all really lost or sense of humanity for others? This is becoming a growing problem during this time of year. Many people have said that this is the reason they no longer go out on Black Friday. We are all losing out when others act this way and for the ones who do not stop and help for fear of losing that bargain, you are no better than those who committed the crime.

We have been looking forward to Thanksgiving for weeks now and it is finally upon us. Family time, is a very special time in our lives, since we do not get to see the entire extended family but a few times a year.

I drew the nasty stick to make the turkey this year. Can you believe that! I have never made a turkey, ever. My husband offered to help, after he said “You have never cooked one by yourself, it will be too dry, so I will do it.” To this I told him to “back off, I can and will make this turkey just as good as you or anyone else can do it.” 

I wanted to make sure this turkey was perfect, and lord knows I could not ask Brandon for any help, he would say “I told you  that you would not know how to cook this by yourself.”  So off to youtube I go, looking for some one to help me cook this huge thing.

You would not believe how many recipes you can find on youtube. I was amazed! I wanted to find  a video that would talk me through the steps and make it as easy as possible. Lord knows I am a woman who could and has burnt boiling water. Yes, I was boiling water and forgot about it on the stove until the pot went dry and started to burn. LOL! Take a look at the video I choose.

This is just a bonus I added in here. I have loved this little song by Adam Sandler for years. My whole family has a big laugh when this one comes on the radio.

Maybe my turkey will turn out just fine, I hope. I will let you know what the others think later. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Where in the world has this year went? It wasn’t long ago we were cleaning up from last years holiday season. Man, what a mess we had. We hosted the family Thanksgiving Day party at our home. This year it is at my cousins house. I hope she knows what she is doing!

All of the women in my family get together for Black Friday shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We all meet up at about 4am, talk about the early bird specials. This year there is bound to be many deals all around due to this bad economy.
