Jose’ Jr. born weighing 1 pound and 11 ounces
Well the rain just decided it had not finished with us today. The race was rained out about 9pm tonight, so an all day race is going to be going on tomorrow. I will tell it all Sunday in my post.
Things seemed to happen for a reason tonight with the rain calling the race short. While at the race, we received a phone call from my husbands sister (Trish) that she had delivered a premature baby boy at 7:10pm.
Now to make a long story short, Trish and Jose’ had been trying to have a child for years now to no avail. They finally adopted a little girl a year ago. About 6 and a half months ago Trish found out she was pregnant.
She took all the precautions and here due date was set for late February. She went into the hospital this past wensday in labor. The doctors tried there best to stop it but little Jose’ Jr. was ready to come into the world on his own time table. Trish had a emergency c-section and Jose’ Jr. was born at 7:10pm November 14, 2008 weighing 1 pound and 11 ounces.
Mommy is doing fine and baby is in ICU at Greenville Hospital. The next 72 hours are what the doctor’s are saying is the critical time so please keep this family in your prayers.
Update - As of this Sunday morning November 16, baby and mother are still doing just fine. I will keep you posted in the weeks ahead.

Babies who are born before the due date always have a better chance of survival than those born at full-term with complications.
This is because a premature baby has the right amount of organ maturity needed to give it support for its sustenance.
Praying for the best.
Little Jose’ is in my prayers…he’s a strong willed boy I’m sure he’ll do wonderfully!
