Could today have been the coldest on record for South Carolina?

If you have ventured outside today in the Upstate South Carolina, then you know just how cold it felt. The temperature today was about 30 degrees according to my thermometer. You have to also factor in the wind chill, which made if feel like 20.

I guess we just thought it was cold today. According to the records, the lowest temperature was at Ceasars Head and was -19 degrees January 21, 1985. I was ** at that time. (Now of course a woman never reveals her age.)

It would not seem so cold to me today if we had received some of that snow that the higher elevations of North Carolina got today. Some places had 7 inches of snow. We were up there for a while picking up my daughters car however we did not see any of that beautiful white snow. It would have been nice though.
