Parents could be making some changes if some new pre-filed bills are passed this next session
It appears that the pre-filed bills are starting to come in and be posted. With what I have seen so far, this may be a year for some new legislation. Parents could be making some changes if some new pre-filed bills are passed this session of the local legislation.
H. 3012- is a new bill that would allow a person who has been put in jail due to non payment of child support would be stricken from having to pay while in jail and for 3 months after released. This would keep them from getting farther behind than they already are.
H. 3023- could be very controversial this session. This bill would make it illegal to smoke in a vehicle with a minor under the age of 18. This would allow them to fine you for smoking in your vehicle with anyone under the age of 18 in that same vehicle at the time.
There will be much more to come from this legislative session. Please make sure to contact your local congress official and let them know what you think about some of these new bills put up for a vote. Find out who your officals are by clicking here.
