Credit card companies may be unhappy if this bill is allowed to pass. H3566 would bring about a much needed regulation on some charges. The basics of it says that delinquent or late charge fee’s could not amount to more than is owed on the outstanding balance. To put it simple, it appears to say that if you owe $5 on your balance, they can not charge you $35 for a late fee. I could be wrong but in my opinion this is one area that needs more regulation. Maybe this is the start to that need.
We are under a tornado warning right now here in South Carolina until 11pm tonight. Keep your fingers crossed for us that this passes with no injuries.

I have been following a bill that has been Introduced to US House. H.J.Res. 5 is a proposed amendment to the Constitution that has been brought up before. Could this actually be the one time that this bill gets passed?
H.J.Res. 5 - “Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.”
After many attempts of this, you would think that our Representatives would stop and think that this is not one of those bills that should even be discussed. NO ONE WANTS IT! Do they get the picture yet! Jose’ Serrano D from NY has sent this thing to the House yet again, so I guess he does not get it. I will be watching this bill until it gets thrown out. Until then I will be posting on it’s progress or hopefully lack there of.

As the new bill’s continue to tumble in my email box, I am left wondering “why so many are being put on the table that have no real purpose except to take up the time that could be used for real issues.” I understand the need to give someone thanks and encouragement for great service to our state but is there not another way of doing it. Maybe send a nice certificate of appreciation award would be more in order. In no way am I saying not to applaud the efforts of a group or person who is making life in South Carolina better, let’s just start using the Senate and House time more wisely.

It is now less than 24 hours away from the biggest Presidential Inauguration in US history. Watching it on TV will be the only way for me and my family to see it. There is no way you could pay me to actually go into that area in person on such an occasion. Are you planning to go? For many it will be the highlight of their life to witness what is now being called the most expensive and biggest Inauguration in US history. With millions in attendance, my thoughts and prayers for a good event go out to the Obama family. Here to making a change in 2009. You all party it up a little for me.
