Oh, no! The clouds are rolling back in here in Upstate South Carolina with rain to follow the next few days. I know we need all we can get but goodness, depression is setting in from being indoors for over a week. A trip to the tanning bed can help some with my mood at least.
Today is the final day to pass or not, any bills that are in the House and Senate. There are several we are keeping our eyes on and will let everyone know just as soon as we find out. Maybe this session was not exactly a waste of time like some others in the past.
Have a great day everyone!

In this world we live in woman are made to pay for things like exams in order to prosecute the criminals. South Carolina may be passing S512 that would prevent a victim from bearing the cost of such things. Making a woman pay to prove that someone has attached her is just ludicrous. This is one reason that woman do not file a complaint a lot of the time because of fear that they will have to pay to do so. Common sense is a normal way of life for me. Our Government needs to get back to the people with common sense instead of those who live for the almighty dollar.

This weekend is scheduled to be the first race of the season at Travelers Rest Speedway. The SAS East Super Late Model was set to be a few weeks ago and we had that big snow storm come through, so this weekend it is supposed to be a 2 day show for Saturday and Sunday starting at 2pm. If Saturday ends up being a washout, they have said they will run it all in one day on Sunday. Find out more here .
Everyone who has read my blog can probably tell you how much fun we have at the local dirt track on the weekends. This year will be even better once we startour daughter Christina out in her car. Things are just about ready so her first race will hopefully be in April. Wish us all luck.

Should you smoke in your car with a child? When my children were little, that was just something I did not do. Well it could soon be against the law in South Carolina. The transportation committee has given it’s approval to go ahead and vote on S23 which states that it would be unlawful to smoke in your car with a child under the age of 10. Personally smoking in a car with your child is a bad idea. Now with that said, I don’t think the government has a right to tell me what I can and can not do in or on my personal property. What do you think? Could this lead to more ways for them to oversee your every move?
